Only 1 week to go until FOWA!
With FOWA just around the corner, here’s all you need to know as an attendee to FOWA London 09.
Workshops – Wednesday 30th September
Those of you with Conference & Workshop passes, doors open for the workshops at 8am with the first workshops starting at 9am, come along at 8 to pick up your pass and grab a much needed coffee before we begin. The sessions take place in Wallacespace St Pancras. You can find directions here.
The rooms will be clearly marked but the Carsonified crew will be on hand to help you. You will find your names outside your chosen workshop just in case you have forgotten which ones you signed up for!
Lunch and coffee breaks are provided for all workshop attendees including homemade goodies and smoothies! Yum :)
The workshops finish at 5pm.
Conference – Thursday 1st & Friday 2nd October
FOWA takes place in the Kensington Town Hall, Hornton St, London. To get to the hall simply enter through the Great hall entrance and you will see registration directly in front of you. You cant miss us! Please bring the ticket you received via email at the time of booking to speed things up!
Doors open at 8am for registration and presentations start at 9am on both days. It may be worth getting there early to grab your pass, a much needed coffee and beat the queues! You will be given vouchers to use in the cafe bar anytime during both days so you can enjoy lunch, snacks and drinks on Carsonified.
There is free WIFI in the venue and you can also charge up your laptops inside the auditorium.
Passes
Don’t panic, we have been taking good care of your passes and they will be available to pick up at registration on the 30th September at Wallacespace for the conference & workshop attendees and 1st October at Kensington Town Hall for conference only. Please remember to bring your ticket print outs with you for a quicker registration and Student ID’s for all those of you who have bought a Student pass.
FOWA party!!
The FOWA party sponsored by Paypal will be on 1st October from 8pm at The Orchid club in Piccadilly. Its going to be an amazing night!
You will be asked to present your pass on the door to gain entry as we have hired the club exclusively so make sure you don’t forget to bring it with you :)
There will be a DJ, and some free drinks so come along, grab a beer and listen to some tunes!
Get involved in all things FOWA!
There is so much going on this year. To make the most of your FOWA experience there will be a FOWA fair in the Small Hall which is upstairs from the lobby area. Go on up and chat to Paypal, Xcalibre, Yahoo, Vodafone, Six Apart and many more!
At break times you can also take advantage of the University sessions for a chance to learn a little more! These will be taking place in the main Kensington reception area in the adjacent building. You can find out exactly what will be covered at registration on the 1st Oct.
Disco Stu and his funky crew will also be rocking out in the basement room so make sure you check it out!
